Aerospace Component Precision Surface Finishing – Hall 4 Stand BC93 - Paris Air Show
The world leader in precision surface finishing technology, OTEC Präzisionsfinish GmbH, will be exhibiting at the Paris International Airshow in Hall 4 on Stand BC93. With a global supply network, including Fintek in the UK, the company will show how the exacting aerospace standards for surface finishing are being met by the latest generation of OTEC machines, capable of processing even larger components with greater control and precision.
For example, the recently introduced OTEC SF-HP stream finishing machine can process large workpieces up to 810mm in diameter and weighing up to 200kg. Ideal for stream finishing parts such as landing gear components, highly loaded gears, blades, complete blisks and disks with great accuracy. Depending on the process medium used, the surfaces can reach roughness values of up to Ra 0.01?m without chemical acceleration. Defined deburring and edge breaks of up to 700 µm can be also applied. This is achievable in short process times to ensure high productivity when compared with traditional finishing methods.
Stream finishing machines from OTEC are compact to minimise floor space requirements and have a range of options for automating loading and unloading, including robots. They come with standard Industry 4.0 capabilities that can be enhanced with an advanced I4.0 package for even greater control over digitisation, machine monitoring, remote maintenance and process optimisation. In addition, digital twin technology is currently being developed for future deployment.
Visit the OTEC Präzisionsfinish GmbH team in Hall 4 on Stand BC93 and you might also catch Adrian Kofler who is in charge of most international aerospace projects. He will be glad to answer any specific questions you have about taking your aerospace component surface finishing to the next level.
